Requirements on the exam date |

Before being allowed to enter the testing room, you will be required to show 2 forms of identification, including one government-issued photo identification. Both must have signatures. |
|
Some testing programs may have additional requirements. Please make sure you bring your 2 forms of ID to the test center. |

Best to arrive at the test center 15 minutes to half an hour (30 minutes) before your scheduled appointment time. |

Q: How can I find out an exam’s price, format, length and content?
A: Go to the test program’s Web site for this information. Please note that not all testing sponsors will release information on exam format. For programs that Pearson VUE delivers, VUE typically provides information about exam length and available languages in the program information sections of VUE Web site.
Q: What materials do I need to take to the test center on the day of my test?
A: Before being allowed to enter the testing room, you will be required to show 2 forms of identification, including one government-issued photo identification. Both must have signatures. Some testing programs may have additional requirements. Please make sure you bring your 2 forms of ID to the test center. Generally speaking, you are not allowed to take anything into the test center to assist you with your exam. Some testing programs have exceptions to this general rule; this is usually noted on the program’s landing page on our Web site, and you will be informed when you register for the test. Please ask the program sponsor or visit the program sponsor’s Web site for more information.
Q: How early should I arrive at the test center on the day of my test?
A: Typically you are asked to arrive at the test center 15 minutes to half an hour before your scheduled appointment time. This extra time will give you an opportunity to sign in and to relax prior to beginning your exam. The amount of time you are asked to arrive at the test center before your scheduled appointment time differs for each program.
Q: Because of a special need, I require extra time to complete my exam. Will Pearson VUE let me have a time extension for my exam appointment?
A: Yes, Pearson VUE and your testing sponsor may allow time extensions and other accommodations to candidates who are identified as having special needs. If you need additional time to complete your exam, we ask that you please speak with a Pearson VUE agent about this at the time of registration. At that point, they will determine whether your appointment time can be extended for your specific situation based on the sponsor’s policies.
Q: When can I expect to see my exam results reflected in the testing sponsor’s database?
A: Depending upon the testing program, Pearson VUE is required to submit exam results to the sponsor within 24-72 hours of the exam. It is then up to the test sponsor to post the results. If it has been 10 business days since you took your exam and you still do not see your results, contact a Pearson VUE agent.
Q: I haven’t received my certificate yet. What should I do?
A: Certificates are issued by the testing sponsor. Please contact them directly.
Q: Who sets the price for each exam?
A: The testing sponsor sets the exam price.
