Course Overview
Agile is a set of methodologies that emphasizes iterative development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between cross-functional teams. One of the most widely-used Agile processes is Scrum, which is a process framework for agile development. Scrum is unique among Agile processes due to its specific concepts and practices, which are categorized into Roles, Artifacts, and Time Boxes.

The three roles defined in Scrum are the Scrum Master, the Product Owner, and the Team, all of whom work closely together on a daily basis to ensure the smooth flow of information and quick issue resolution.

Our EXIN Agile Scrum Master training course provides insights into the working method, rules, and roles of Scrum, as well as the mindset necessary for success. Participants will learn about servant leadership and behavioral change, along with coaching and facilitation techniques to enhance their effectiveness as Scrum Masters.

Course Objectives

The training course is practical and focuses on the successful application of Scrum in the real world. Concepts dealt with include:

• Scrum framework: understanding the rules and roles of Scrum according to the Scrum Guide.
  
• Cross-functional, self-organizing teams: scrum teams differ from traditional development teams. The paradigm and character of cross-functional and self-organizing teams promote flexibility, creativity and productivity. Teams choose how they can best produce their work and have all the expertise required to be able to do that, without depending on others outside the team.
  
• Coaching & facilitating: the mindset and behavior of Scrum Masters varies from those of project managers or team leaders in traditional environments. Scrum Masters are facilitators for the teams.

Course Approach
This course is designed to enhance the candidates understanding of the Agile methodologies and Scrum practices with practical assignments. Students who have attended this course, and have done some self-study, are suitably prepared to take the associated EXIN Agile Scrum Master exam.

Students will receive an Agile Scrum Master classroom workbook containing all of the presentation materials, course notes, case study and sample exams

Course Prerequisites
You have read the Scrum Guide and/or you have participated in the Agile Scrum Foundation training course.
